Head Trainer, Karim Camara, is a person of many accomplishments. He served in politics as a member of the New York State Legislature from 2005 until 2015. He represented over 120,000 citizens in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Crown Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, and East Flatbush. Karim has been recognized as one of the "Top 40 under 40 in New York State Government" and one of the "Top 100 Most Powerful People in New York State"
He left elected office/politics in 2015 with one of the primary reasons being to pursue his passions, including dog training and services.
Karim is an experienced dog trainer with over 20 years experience, including on and off leash obedience, behavior problem solving and competitive dog sports. He has training dogs since he was five years old through his father who raised and competed in AKC obedience trials with solid black German Shepherds. Since he was 12, Karim has raised, trained and competed in canine competitions with Rottweilers.
He has earned a Certificate in Dog Trainer Foundations from the world recognized Karen Pryor Animal Training Academy. He is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
Karim actively and avidly pursues ongoing continuing education and professional development through seminars and staying current on industry research. He is currently completing the Canine Behavior Consultant Diploma with the International College of Canine Studies.
He has been seen on ABC, NBS, CBS, Fox, CNN and other national media outlets.
